Some London news
Call centre workers for Westminster Council (central London) are being asked to move to a small town (pop 5,000) in Scotland. I’m sure its a lovely place, but according the the BBC these workers are dealing with parking, licensing, community protection and library services - what would they be doing in Scotland or anywhere, but central London? Unsurprisingly there are no takers yet.

Absolutely daft. Today I phoned Midland Mainline about my online booking from London to Sheffield and spoke to a gentleman in Bangalore. Probably as familiar with a map of the UK as the highlanders are with a map of Westminster…
