Mouse No 4…

Pink is the new…

Pink is the new blog… gossip with a touch of bitchiness and a dollop of wit, what more could you ask for.

Braces, what again? Again?

I thought it was about time for a braces update – Bruce especially for you!

Since I last enlightened you I’ve had a wire pop out – I don’t know how this happened, but I’ve been assured by both the Ortho and his assistant that it won’t happen again once I move onto the next wire – I’m not sure whether I should be pleased or worried, does thicker wire equal pain? It took the Ortho all of 2 seconds to ‘pop’ it back – it’s all in the knowing how.

Yesterday the same bit of wire became convex (from my mouths point of view) - pulling all my teeth the wrong way - I thought I had overdone it munching on an apple (cut up small, I couldn’t even think of biting into a whole one). This time I managed on my own to flip it back, which was a relief, because it was starting to get very painful, amazing how much and how quickly it changed the pressure.

On the subject of bite turbos – I seem to have eaten off all the stuff he put on to build them up – so am back to square one, being careful not to bite off the brackets. Things are changing though and in certain positions my teeth finally meet. My stomach is happy - less indigestion.

Still lisping, I don’t think it’s something I’m going to get used to, but otherwise all fine.

Wire change, here’s hoping, in a couple of weeks… Bruce I promise, no more braces talk until then… unless something drastic happens.

Blog stuff

Well, I finally forked out for Ecto… it does seem to do the job. Except when it puts paragraphs where you don’t want them - but at the mo it’s not doing it, so I’ll say no more.

Enlightenment

If they [the public] saw what we [the journalists] saw then they would never support a war ever again, that’s why it’s important for governments that we don’t show everything…

A rough quote from Channel 4’s Iraq: The Hidden Story by Jon Snow, which I’m only half watching, because that’s enough. There doesn’t seem to be any further info on Channel 4’s site, but it’s basically the war from the journalist’s perspective.

Goodbye to Mouse No 3

I buried mouse no 3 at the bottom of the garden. I was on my own, as Sandy seemed unprepared to make the journey across the wet lawn. It was a simple affair I put a stone down as a marker and said a few words, wishing that it’s protons, neutrons and electrons scattered around the world to have many adventures and if any of them ended up in another mouse, that there was an abundance of cheese to eat.

The last of blue

If you are a fan of blue Smarties you better stock up as Nestle have agreed to stop using artificial colouring and apparently there is no natural alternative for the blue colour - I always thought that blue was a step too far into the artificial.

News up

Patrica Rashbrook is having a baby at 63, just imagine running around after a seven year old in your seventies.

Which? is saying that hybrid’s aren’t all they’re cracked up to be although the Prius seems to stand up to the test. I’m checking out diesel - is it clean or not?

Prescott gets to keep his grace and favour homes [ that’s the big house in the country] even though Ruth Kelly is taking over the work.

The UN can’t agree on what to do with Iran.

Nicole Richie agree’s she’s too thin in Vanity Fair - what’s with VF these days - they seem to have a thing for anorexia-ish young girls. Sorry that’s not really news.

Mouse No 3

We caught another mouse, but when I opened the trap the poor thing didn’t look very good. I did my best, I tried to give it some water and some cheese. I watched it taking it’s last breathes, it made what was possibly an attempt to escape, but just ended up on it’s back and died. It was very sad.
