Zero security

OK, so I’m supposed to change my Flickr account to a Yahoo one, because I’m old Skool, and the powers that be sent an email telling us to change or else no account. I couldn’t remember if I had a certain name for my Yahoo account, so what to do? I sent off an email telling them that I couldn’t remember the password and I wouldn’t have given them the correct birthday etc (who can ever remember their B’days when filling out forms on the internet), so I asked them to check whose name the account was under. Today I got an email back with a new password, so I thought great it was my account. To sign in I had to change the password and when I went to the account info I found out that it’s not my account at all, but a completely different persons with a completely different name, absolutely no confusion possible. Doesn’t say much for Yahoo’s security. In fact it makes me want to join the old skool protest. And what do I do, I’ve now changed this person’s password and OK they hadn’t used the account since October last year, but still I don’t feel good about it.
