Scapegoats

Comments(0) So today I found out I was excluded from my nieces third birthday. My whole family went and I wasn’t invited. I find this such an alien idea, that a member of the family can be excluded from an event. When we were growing up none of our family was ever excluded, it’s just not something that ever happened. Last year I wasn’t invited either and had to literally beg to be allowed to go. I can’t get my head around how my own brother can be so hurtful. All those conversations we had about if either of us ever had children, this was certainly not a scenario that ever came up. It’s at times like this that I wish my father was still alive.
